For Karin Luvaas, every piece begins with the stone. Working from her studio on Bainbridge Island, WA, Karin handpicks and cuts each gem herself. She's drawn to character: wild inclusions, shifting color zones, and the unexpected quirks that make a stone one of a kind. Her materials are sourced directly from miners she knows and trusts, so integrity is built in from the very first cut.
